The People's Meeting 2026

Would you like us to contribute to your discussion?

We hope that you and your organization will join us in conversation, debate, and discussion!

Real-world problems require cooperation between politicians, civil servants, and the people who, day in and day out, turn political plans into tangible reality for Danish citizens.

There’s no better place to meet the whole gang than at Folkemødet!

We’re happy to contribute sharp insights to your debate, present our analysis at your event, and moderate discussions on the wicked you’re tackling.

SIGGE WINTHER NIELSEN

Sigge has unique insights into complex problem-solving and the diagnosis of modern democracy, and is an experienced navigator of the broader macro-picture of global and Danish politics. Sigge is a former host of DR2 Deadline, a political analyst at Politiken, a director at DJØF, and a civil servant at the Ministry of Finance. He has conducted research in Denmark and the United States and is the author of several books, most recently *The Puzzle State* (2025). Sigge can contribute insight, analysis, substance, and solid experience as a moderator and debater in discussions about where the world stands right now, where we’ve come from—and, not least, where we’re headed.

SOFIE BURGOS-THORSEN

Sofie leads the development of digital tools to understand and measure the most complex problems we face as a society. Sofie is an expert at combining the potential of AI—such as large language models—with design thinking and political change, with a focus on driving democratic innovation. As a sociologist, Sofie offers a humanistic perspective on what is happening in the technical engine room. Drawing on data feminism and research, she also spearheads efforts to ensure the responsible use of artificial intelligence. Sofie can contribute perspectives on developing solutions for social research and integrating AI into collaboration between research, industry, politics, and business.

Kristine Fisker

Kristine brings together leaders and practitioners from across the country in courses and workshops to tackle the most pressing social issues: health inequality, mental health challenges, and the green transition of Danes’ eating habits. Kristine develops, tests, and rolls out tools for building alliances around issues where behaviors and norms need to change and quick political fixes don’t work. She therefore possesses unparalleled knowledge of the problem-solving toolkit—and her diverse experience in driving collaboration and development on some of today’s most difficult challenges makes her a strong voice in the debate on innovation, collaboration, and change within agriculture, sustainability, behavior, the Green Tripartite, and cultural transformation.

Lars Hvidberg

Lars makes abstract ideas tangible, down-to-earth politics palatable, and new approaches appealing. INVI works on complex, long-term policy solutions that rarely fit into the news cycle or can be explained in headlines. With his background as a speechwriter for five ministers of culture, as the author of two journalistic books, and as an employee at both think tanks and foundations, Lars has extensive experience in conveying meaningful messages in concise communication formats to a diverse audience. He has a keen eye for crafting compelling stories from complex content—and is a strong voice in the conversation about the role of communication in a time of democratic and journalistic upheaval.

Frederik Langkjær

Senior Advisor at INVI. Frederik bridges the gap between frontline perspectives and the negotiating table. With experience as a civil servant in the central government, a project manager at Democracy X, and an adjunct lecturer in political science at the University of Copenhagen, Frederik has particular insight into deliberative democratic methods and democratic innovation, which he applies in INVI’s work to engage practitioners in the implementation of future policies. Frederik is a sharp communicator and debater on citizen engagement, democratic development, and reform implementation—and has concrete insight into how to make policy work in practice.

Janne Bram Hempfrey

Janne previously served as CEO of the Danish Association of Physiotherapists, special advisor at the Ministry of the Environment, and director of external relations at PFA. As head of the secretariat at INVI, she has helped lead a young organization from startup to scaleup. She is accustomed to leading Generation Z and managing neurodivergent employees, with all the opportunities and challenges that entails. All with the goal of creating a sustainable organization for everyone with high employee well-being. With many years of experience, Janne leads with a strong human and political compass.

At INVI – the Institute for wicked – we tackle society’s most complex problems. These are problems that grow over time, are difficult to grasp, and—above all—are hard to translate into practical change.

We insist that the solution cannot be found solely within the walls of Slotsholmen.

Real-world problems require cooperation between politicians, civil servants, and the people who, day in and day out, turn political plans into tangible reality for Danish citizens.
