INVI is seeking an intern in the field of policy and analysis for the spring of 2027

The Internship Program

We are currently looking for an intern for INVI’s policy team.

As an intern at INVI, you’ll jump right into the thick of things. You’ll be part of concrete projects with some of Denmark’s most influential stakeholders—particularly government agencies. This could involve anything from helping a ministry implement a reform to bringing practitioners into the political process. You’ll be setting the framework for collaborations, digging into data, and communicating results that actually make a difference. This requires that you be academically sharp and possess professional gravitas.

With us, no two days are alike. Your schedule might include workshop development in the morning, a political analysis at lunchtime, and event planning before the end of the workday. You’ll gain insight into collaborating with stakeholders—ranging from politicians and interested parties to foundation representatives and media personalities—and learn how the political system functions and operates in practice.

We’re especially looking for someone who can cut through the complexity and convey large amounts of information in a way that everyone understands. You should be eager to tackle challenging tasks and comfortable handling practical matters as they arise. We’re a startup, and we help each other out—with everything. We promise you’ll be challenged professionally and will learn a great deal that will be useful in your future career. 

About INVI

We have always been good at solving social problems in Denmark. That's why we are in the super league of prosperity. But as many have noticed, we no longer achieve the same results. We debate, we work, we stress, we set up commissions and expert groups. But often the big changes in society fail to materialize.

This is not because we have become worse at solving problems. It is because the problems we face are cross-border and intractable. Just think of climate change, dissatisfaction, or the shortage of workers in the labor market. These are wicked , and they require new approaches.  

At the INVI think tank, we develop visions and tools so that everyone working with wicked has more strings to their bow. Together with practitioners and experts, we contribute to rethinking how we design and roll out policy. We test methods and models and are not bound by party politics, bureaucratic battles, or commercial interests.  

We offer an internship at a young think tank where you’ll have a lot of say in your day-to-day work, and where there are high expectations for your performance and professional growth.

You’ll be doing an internship at a fast-paced organization with an open and inclusive culture and a strong sense of camaraderie, where we host Friday happy hours, Christmas parties, book clubs, and more. At INVI, we’re a close-knit team where everyone contributes both professionally and socially.

We offer an unpredictable semester and we guarantee it won't be boring.  

About you

You have deep professional expertise and a broad interest in society; you want to help develop new visions and tools and work on society’s wicked problems.

You need to thrive in an environment where there are many unknowns. That's why independence and creative thinking are important, and being structured and detail-oriented is an advantage.

We don't place much emphasis on what you're currently studying, but relevant fields of study include political science, sociology, communication, rhetoric, or philosophy. 

The period

The internship program generally runs from January to June 2027, but we try to be flexible regarding the start date and duration of your internship so that it fits your schedule and your educational institution. The internship is unpaid, but you may be eligible to receive a stipend of 3,770 DKK per month, in accordance with the rules regarding wages and SU: here.

This is a full-time position.
