Four paths to sustainable prosperity

Think tank INVI, in collaboration with Local Government Denmark, has mapped how municipal politicians perceive the challenge of creating sustainable welfare in Denmark towards 2035. It was all presented at KL's Summit 2025.

The survey is based on responses from over 400 municipal politicians who described challenges and solutions related to ensuring sustainable welfare in free text. These responses have been analyzed with INVI's Model for wicked Problems - a new analysis format that uses artificial intelligence and statistical tools to transform qualitative impressions into quantitative expressions. The analysis shows how local politicians' descriptions gather in clusters of challenges and solutions, which INVI has summarized in four paths to sustainable welfare. In this analysis, the data, the mapping and the four paths to sustainable welfare are reviewed.
