INVI is looking for a communications intern for spring 2026
We are looking for interns with deep professional skills and broad social interest who want to help develop new visions and tools for society's wicked problems.
We have always been good at solving social problems in Denmark. That's why we are in the super league of prosperity. But as many have noticed, we no longer achieve the same results. We debate, we work, we stress, we set up commissions and expert groups. But often the big changes in society fail to materialize.
This is not because we have become worse at solving problems. It's because the problems we face are cross-border and intractable. Just think of climate change, unhappiness or the lack of hands in the labor market. They are wicked problems, and they require new approaches.
At the think tank INVI, we develop visions and tools to give everyone working on wicked problems more strings to pull. Together with practitioners and experts, we help rethink how we design and roll out policy. We test methods and models and are not bound by party politics, bureaucratic battles or commercial interests.
We have high ambitions and lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. As an intern, you'll have plenty of opportunities to put your professional skills into play. - Whether you study political science, design, anthropology, business economics, communication, or something else entirely.
About the position:
At the INVI Think Tank, we work at the intersection of theory and practice. We are developing Denmark's first model for societal complexity and we collaborate with practitioners on the frontline.
Therefore, there are many opportunities to participate in exciting assignments that provide experience and networks that you can use in your future career.
LinkedIn responsibilities, Podcast production and article writing
As an intern, you will be responsible for INVI's LinkedIn profile, which is why we are looking for an intern who has the energy to create catchy, sharp and innovative Linkedin posts. But that won't be your only task. Depending on where you want to develop, you will also be involved in organizing podcasts, writing articles for our newsletter, running cool events and communicating with INVI's members, our Policy Insights Panel and our Policy Youth Panel.
It is therefore particularly important that you are a skilled communicator - both in writing and preferably also in audio - and have the courage to take on complex topics in clear and simple language and write posts that inspire INVI's followers and spread the word about INVI so that we reach even more practitioners who struggle to tame the wicked problems of our society. It takes a good understanding of your audience and a lot of courage to engage in innovative forms of communication - and we all help each other with that!
We have a lot of exciting initiatives going on at INVI, which is why your workday will be characterized by a wide variety of tasks. One day you'll be picking up the phone and calling a minister or an editor-in-chief. The next, you'll be writing an article for our newsletter about an exciting new method that can inspire our newsletter readers to approach their wicked problem in a new way. And who knows, maybe the method and the sharp researcher you talked to for the article will also be interviewed by Sigge Winther and featured in the podcast KOMPAS?
We expect you to be enrolled in a relevant higher education program.
You need to thrive in an environment where there are many unknowns. That's why independence and creative thinking are important, and being structured and detail-oriented is an advantage.
