INVI is looking for an analytics intern for spring 2026
We are looking for interns with deep professional skills and broad social interest who want to help develop new visions and tools for society's wicked problems.
We have always been good at solving social problems in Denmark. That's why we are in the super league of prosperity. But as many have noticed, we no longer achieve the same results. We debate, we work, we stress, we set up commissions and expert groups. But often the big changes in society fail to materialize.
This is not because we have become worse at solving problems. It's because the problems we face are cross-border and intractable. Just think of climate change, unhappiness or the lack of hands in the labor market. They are wicked problems, and they require new approaches.
At the think tank INVI, we develop visions and tools to give everyone working on wicked problems more strings to pull. Together with practitioners and experts, we help rethink how we design and roll out policy. We test methods and models and are not bound by party politics, bureaucratic battles or commercial interests.
We have high ambitions and lots of exciting projects in the pipeline. As an intern, you'll have plenty of opportunities to put your professional skills into play. - Whether you study political science, design, anthropology, business economics, communication, or something else entirely.
About the position
At the INVI Think Tank, we work at the intersection of theory and practice. We are developing Denmark's first model for societal complexity and we collaborate with practitioners on the frontline.
Therefore, there are many opportunities to participate in exciting assignments that provide experience and networks that you can use in your future career.
Analyst with a curiosity for data and AI tools
Over the past year, INVI has developed Denmark's first Model for wicked Problems, which uses large language models to measure how wild a problem is and can map how the problem is configured by the many different stakeholders who have different perspectives on it. An important part of INVI's work in the coming period will be to further develop the model and test its use in concrete analyses.
We are looking for interns who are analytically strong and can work with both quantitative and qualitative data - from collecting to processing and cleaning data, to analyzing, visualizing and interpreting results in a societal context.
It's a plus if you are good at visualizing and communicating data-driven projects, or can use skills to conceptualize the way we present our analytical models.
It's a plus if you can work with data in python, have other programming skills, or are open to experimenting with AI tools and further developing our model, which is built on large language models.
We expect you to be in a relevant higher education program. Maybe you're a social scientist, maybe you're a data scientist, engineer, techno-anthropologist, or humanist with an understanding of technology and data. It's not that important. What matters is that you are passionate about the work of developing creative analytics and data-driven tools to study society's wicked problems.
We expect you to be enrolled in a relevant higher education program.
You need to thrive in an environment where there are many unknowns. That's why independence and creative thinking are important, and being structured and detail-oriented is an advantage.
