INVI seeks student for graphic work

We are looking for a student assistant who has an eye for visual communication and branding and who wants to contribute to the graphic communication of complex analysis and social issues

Society's 'wild problems' are those that are hard to define and solve, and can be anything from climate change to labor shortages. At the think tank INVI, we develop visions and tools to give everyone working on wild problems more strings to their bow. Together with practitioners and experts, we help rethink how we design and roll out policy. We test methods and models and are not bound by party politics, bureaucratic battles or commercial interests.

We are a team of 15-20 employees at INVI, working interdisciplinary with society's complex problems and combining backgrounds ranging from political science to data science, design and democratic innovation. We are an energetic office with many different competencies and a brand that is already well-known and recognizable to many.

We are now looking for a graphic design student assistant to help design what change looks like

We offer you a job that is anything but standard:

  • A unique opportunity to work with tool development, visual and digital communication in relation to society's most important agendas and in interaction with some of the country's and abroad's most interesting players within ai, data science, and digital tool development.

  • Create a visual identity in a think tank with high pulse ambitions

  • Work closely with our analytics, communication and design teams

  • Make complex analytics beautiful, accessible and provocatively clear

  • Help develop INVI's graphic direction and visual DNA

The tasks are many - and always meaningful:

  • Setting up reports, flyers, catalogs, PowerPoints and pitch decks

  • Visual templates for presentations and campaigns

  • Website development in Squarespace

Support data visualization and dissemination of analytics

Your tasks could be, for example:

  • Creation of printed products such as reports, catalogs, flyers and signs

  • Setting up presentations, pitches and templates in PowerPoint and Word

  • Graphic content for LinkedIn and Instagram

  • Website development in Squarespace

  • Visual templates for presentations and campaigns

  • Support data visualization and dissemination of analytics

We imagine that you:

  • Studying graphic design, visual communication, interaction design, digital design or similar

  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign and Illustrator)

  • Have any experience building websites in Squarespace or similar CMS

  • Has an eye for brand, detail and balance

  • Interested in working creatively with different disciplines and communicating complex material and advanced analytics to many different audiences

  • Curious about society and ideas - and dare to challenge the form

  • It is a bonus, but not a requirement, if you have an interest in photography and video - or if you have an interest in information design and data visualization.

We don't expect you to know it all, but we do expect you to have the courage to be part of a team where we all learn from each other and constantly develop. INVI is a workplace where there are many opportunities to develop and make your own mark on your work tasks, and we hope you want to be part of a professionally strong and creative community.

The practicalities

The position is set at 12-15 hours, with flexibility during exam periods. We want the position filled as soon as possible.

About us

Do you feel that politicians formulate lots of plans and projects, but change often fails to happen? You're far from alone in that feeling. A lot can be solved with existing tools, but if we are to be more successful in tackling complex problems, new data-driven approaches are urgently needed. This is where INVI comes in.

We are designing the new toolbox for today's wild social problems. These are problems that transcend borders and are stubborn. Just think of climate change, unhappiness or the lack of hands in the labor market. They are all wild problems, and they often require new approaches. At the Think Tank, we work closely with ministries, municipalities, foundations and civil society to tackle the root of the wild problem - with tools we develop in collaboration with the best researchers and data scientists.

INVI is a think tank with an entrepreneurial spirit and high ambitions. In a short time, we have created a strong platform for change and innovation with support from foundations, public actors and civil society. We are located in The Yellow Farm in the heart of Copenhagen - a dynamic environment where collaboration and creativity are in focus.

We offer:

  • A flexible and inspiring workplace with high ceilings and an inspiring group of colleagues who are each the best in their field.

  • A strong social community with Friday bars and joint events.

  • A work culture where we share mistakes and victories and motivate each other to take chances and push the bar of what's possible.

We look forward to receiving your application.
